With the new processors it is often hard to figure out how fast they are compared to others. And you need to do that to see how good of a deal that advertised computer really is.
Recently we looked at a laptop that seemed quite nice. Then we compared the processor benchmark of that laptop to the other ones sitting beside it and found out that the sale price wasn't good - it was unbelievable. So we bought it. Since then we have compared currently advertised models and never came even close in value or speed. And yes, the laptop IS FAST.
How do you get the benchmark of processors? The easiest way is to go to this benchmark list and look it up.
Don't forget though that this is only part of the equation. Graphic speed and RAM (and other items) need to be considered as well.
